How to create a chatbot in Viber
To create a chatbot on the Viber platform and connect it to the JediDesk service, you need to log in through the Viber website and create a bot.
Step 1:
Log in to the Viber admin panel:
- Enter the phone number connected to Viber.
- Enter the registration code that Viber will send in a message to the application.

Step 2:
Open the Viber administrative panel, click Create bot Account:

❗️ Note: If you lose access to the phone number you use to create your bot, you will permanently lose access to manage your bot through the Viber app and admin panel, with no possibility of recovery.
Fill in all the following forms:



- Upload the bot’s avatar (image) in a 1:1 ratio (square).
- Write the name of the bot.
- The bot URL (bot link) automatically becomes identical to the name, but it can be changed.
- Choose the category of the bot (you cannot create a category yourself)
- Choose a subcategory that more accurately defines the purpose of the bot.
- Select the bot language.
- Add a description of the bot.
- Add a link to your site, contact, or other primary resource.
- Add a work e-mail.
- Indicate if your bot contains 18+ content
- Select your country on the map.

Check the terms of use agreement and click Create
In the pop-up window, copy the API of the newly created bot – click on Copy

Step 3:
Open the “Integrations” tab on the JediDesk service and paste the received API.
Click Activate:

Step 4:
Now you have to activate your bot in the Viber app.
Also you have the opportunity to manage the design of your bot through the Viber mobile application.
There you can change the name, description, photo, category and other parameters.
To do this, in the application, in the “More” section, select “Settings – My bots”:
